Amen Cowboy Update

Holgas’ own Clinton Switzer is hard at work with the help of Dan Somers under local indie record label co-op Black Cactus Records. With a nearly finished EP (“Chevy Belt Buckle”), as well as having layed down the framework for his first full length, “This Gun’s For Hire”. He will also be collaborating on a full length mash up and supporting tour with Philadelphian Michael Cameron. The two collaborated previously on a little ditty that can be found here.

You can catch Clinton playing around town under the Amen Cowboy namesake, in the mean time here’s a few demos off the upcoming EP, “Chevy Belt Buckle.” Also be sure to visit Black Cactus Records.

Rocky Votolato Show

Holgas dwellers Ryan, Nick, and Clint joined friends Matt and ASU Downtown journalism student Monica to catch Rocky at the Rhythm Room last night. He celebrated his birthday at the show and a cake was brought out in the middle of his set. We had a chance to chat and do an interview with Rocky after the show. Look for the interview to be airing on Radio Phoenix in the next week or so!

January First Friday at Bohemian Beat Video

Ryan’s birthday was celebrated and a good time was had by all as Clinton Switzer played a live set in the gallery. Special thanks to Jon Carson for the video handy work!

Lunch Unplugged

Holgas dweller and Detroit transplant Clinton Switzer played a free lunchtime show at Civic Space Park for ASU Downtown on Thursday, January 28th! More Lunch Unplugged shows are happening from 11am-1pm every Thursday through April 29th.
